How to dress for summer, warm in winter?

I have 24, going to a wedding, I have a brown / standard dress falling on flowers knee, a dress, and the flow is not skin tight. Should I pair with tights and high heels, boots, UGG-type, or I can do something with peak knee? I have a brown jacket to go with it, but do not think I can go out with my thongs, open shoes of gold. Thanks! What leggings and flats? I "5'3.

Mean and wear heels. DO NOT wear uggs to a marriage that would be tacky.
